testingUm, I have been seeing this kind of info for 10+ years. Yea, the technology sounds great if they ever get past the problems. Both technical, and financial. Yea, they have been able to get holo tech to work, but it costs a fortune, and it's still not stable yet. :/ It will be nice to see larger portable storage.
So far, the best that's out is BlueRay.

here is what I could find in a little google search
here are some url's
http://www.holocomputing.com/
http://www.holocomputer.com/
http://www.holodisks.net/
As a matter of fact there are a lot of domains with information starting with holo something dot something
http://www.holomemory.info/
http://www.holocube.com/ and etc. better search google, there are lots about it which content almost looks the same.
Potential designs for holographic storage media consist of holographic disks (Holodisks or HoloCDs) and holographic cubes (Holocubes). One of the limitations is that holographic disks and/or holo-cubes must be accessible to light, but also enduring in construction. When optimized, these media could hold upwards of a terabyte of data. The commercial market for holo-disks and/or holo-cubes could grow to various billion dollars by 2010.
