If this is what it is about, then go on... but maybe feed them with some rpm based distro?

Well, I've always been curious as to what it is like, despite being a die-hard slackware user. Also, it might be easier to put on "customers" computers and have them use, depending on if this packaging system is as good as i hear..

You are marking your posts with Slackware and want to try Debian? Your choice... I tried ant that wasn't that... any way - if debian - I think you shouldn't go net install... if net-install - try gentoo... this is sugestion... debian is a little messed... but this is a long story and best if you would try it on your own :)

Okay, I decided to give debian a try, just out of the blue, but I decided to try a net-install.. So, how exactly do I go about putting together my "custom distro" from the net-install process?
Is this all just stuff I do from the console or what?
