Aside from being a bit rough around the edges of the left imagery I think it looks fantastic.

Colour scheming and things you can fix up and find out what suites best over time, just have play with it from time to time.

Btw if your into Flash (Iv'e been making a platform game for learning flash and actionscript, I have programming experience and game programming so it's not too hard, but anyway), you can create some very smooth hand drawn shapes quite easily.

As it's vector based for drawing, you could use the brush tool to free-hand draw your butterfly and any other shapes with a high smoothing level and then just drag any edges that are too thin/thick in or out. So basically you can get some pretty smooth graphics .

I use photoshop myself, but am unsure of any methods of achieving the same result as I explained you could do in flash.

The colours of #1 looks perfect
Did you get that butterfly from other sites or did you made them by yourself?

Nice, I think you should try alternative color set to make it more simple and arthistic. ;)

impressive for a starter, id reccomend before you start putting stuff out that you jsut mess around with everything for a while, maybe look up some photoshop tutorials on the net to expand your creativeness.. good-tutorials.com is a good one, a lot of info there. But your off to a killer start.

I like the first one, it's alright simple and good use of color. the other i didn't like much because the colors are too much in contrast of each other and kinda obviously noobish. But my works would be at the same levels as urs so i give urs some appreciation.

In my opinion:
First one is great. Good font and color choice. Take out animation and Bevels and you're done, and well done.

About the second one I mostly agree with everybody else who commented up until now, so there isn't much to add.

The First one is the best , i kinda like the animation you did and the colors are also better then the second one but well keep working on it and who knows how you could end up
