I was recently surfing the web when i came across an article that talked about running Mac on Windows. I was wondering if anyone knows a program that might let me do this. If you follow this link http://reviews.cnet.com/Make_your_PC_look_...23.html?tag=vid you will see a tutorial program that allows you to change the appearance of your Windows XP into a Mac OS. THis is not what i am looking for. I am looking for a program that will actually run mac on XP. Can anyone please let me know if there is an application like that.

The technology u r looking for her is called "Emulators". Mac Emulators are built for Pc's and their simple function is to allow you to install and operate on MAC OS. I always wanted to give this a try but never found the time or was too lazy ... so if you are successful with this, then drop us a "How To" tutorial
Emulators Online (Site for a MAC Emulator) Emulators List (Site contains different emulators with specs. and site links) PearPC (A popular emulator for PC that stopped its updates late 2005) Hope this information helps. Regards Dhanesh. |

You can run Mac OS on windows using Microsoft virtual PC . Its freely available on its mmicrosoft's website. But for running virtual pc system resources should be good because these emulators use a lot of system resources.
They uses the actual CPU and RAM from the system and emulates the rest of the hardware. Not only MAC OS you can install install any operating system's on these virtual machines and can create your complete network of these machines.A person is only limited by his system resources.Currently i had installed four operating systems under my windows XP and had done networking between them. |

I don't know if Virtual PC works with Mac... I know it works fine with PC based operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, BSD)

I am really very sorry freinds.Nightfox you are right that virtual pc doesnt works for MAC OS.Actually i had used it for PC based operating systems only and when i was downloading it i had read somewhere virtual pc 7 for mac so i thought there is another versionof virtua pc which is for running mac on windows but after reading your post i had checked it and it was for MAC OS for running windows on MAC.
I had googled for it and found an article for running MAC OS on windows. Its at http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/01/18/PearPC.html and it uses pear pc as emulator. |

After MACs shifted to the intel processor, i guess installing lepord would be same as installing windows, but with a slight hardware difference. I have read about people using OS 10.3 or 4 dont know exactly, but the one that ships with Macbook Pros. They can install the OS on a normal intel based desktop but it needs some tweaking to be done. Will find out more about this and post a confirmed legit witeup.

you can actually run MacOS X side-by-side with Windows XP on common hardware. However, doing so is highly illegal and I don't think I can tell you how to do it on Astahost either. Anyways, another way (however, slow) is to use VMWare.
