You need to post enough to have 30 hosting credits for a moth with 30 days, 31 hosting credits for a month with 31 days and 28 hosting credits for February, unless it's a leap year.

How many posts does it take to get this number, that depends on you and the quality of posts you make. If you have a lot of one liners you may never see the 30 hosting credits. A good post or a good tutorial with more than 300 or more than 600 characters count a lot higher than one and 2 liners. Keep in mind that BBcodes does not count, if you have a lot of posts with no "serious" content but they are just posted to get the credit... And a Moderator or Admin deems your posts as spam, your hosting credits may go to zero...

Hope this answered your question and I moved your post to the help section sine this is not a What if... statement / issue / interests alot of posters but it should be here.

Nils

If this is how you are going to have your account, stock up 20 credits, then have about 32 every month thereafter. That way, the 20 protects you agaisnt times where you couldn't post, and the extra 1, 2, 3 or 4 hosting credits a month build up and will give you some constantly good support.

Alternatively have about 5 or 10 creidts, then 35 credits a month, or you could be the best forum member ever, dedicate your life here and post 6 gazillion times a month, although there is some ridiculous cap for the hosting crdits somewhere ^^high up there^^.

Or you can do like me and post until you have about 200+ credits and then randomly stop posting when your life gets busy for a few months at a time heh. Really there is not set limit as you've probably gathered from the others' responses. You can't just post a set number of posts due to the fact that we are wise to you people who don't want to post... yes... we know your game. Therefor scripts give you credits based on the length of the post.

Also to keep in mind, you can't simply plagarize long articles off news and review sites to gain major credits. We constantly survey the boards for such things and quickly remove them returning your credits to the original amounts.

Basically you can figure out how much you need to post per month by posting some average (for you) length posts and figuring out how many credits you are getting for each. Then figure out how many of those it will take in oreder to keep your credits up above zero (and remember, one credit is lost per day and if you go below zero you DO have time to get your credits back up before your data is lost. But your account gets suspended so its better to simply make sure this does not occur).

Any questions, just PM me or another mod or whoever. Enjoy the forums.
