After a LONG wait, Google finally has managed to round-up it's online office suite by adding in a basic Presentation creator. However, contrary to all earlier speculations - they haven't named it Presently. Rather this new app doesn't have any distinct name at all other than being refered to as Google Presentation.

Features

Microsoft PowerPoint files less than 10 MB can be imported and exports take the shape of HTML files with images. Themes and layouts of slides can be modified - but there aren't too many available options. As it is with Google Docs, you presentation can be shared / viewed / worked on by collaborators. All in all it's a pretty basic package with very limited functionality as compared to the other existing options like Preezo and Zoho Show.

Also, Google's office suite has undergone a slight name change and is now called Google Docs rather than Docs & Spreadsheets.

Finally Google get it on the market;) been waiting on this release for some time.
I really like the way google are going around things, I think their ultimate idea is to have a full on google operating system with all these little apps they have been making for some years now all under the bonnet of the OS.
You could say its the same as microsoft if they pull this idea off but I trust google far much than I will ever trust microsoft!
I also think that google will try to make this the biggest deployment of "leased" software yet, I think they will lease you the OS and the apps on a subscription basis like a mobile phone contract.
Maybe they will roll out version one for free then when it moves to version two and becomes more powerfull then they will start the subscription fees.
For me personally I doubt I would ever use such an OS because I am switching between platforms all the time anyway, but for the average user or someone who is just buying a pc it could be a very tempting thing to do instead of buying Vista.
Maybe google could tie up a big manufacturer like Dell or ASUS to sell their pcs loaded with the google OS, this would really make people think and realise there is an alternative to Winblows.

"I did not, have, operating, system, relations with that woman (Miss Ubuntu)."

Google is just going to continue to introduce programs to basically be at least linked to all of the programs that you will need for your desktop and then when they get the desktop saturated with their programs and programs from companies that they are affiliated with, then they will release an OS with all of those programs. They will want their market entry OS to be a Windows killer.
"Goobuntu" would break Linux open to a more mainstream level, which would make NYSE-listed Google a far more interesting company to invest in.
