Does anyone know a good online photo album site? I used Google Picasa yesterday, and today my pictures are not showing up. Just the frames with the little cross in it. I need a site that provides unlimited space and have good features.
Thanks This post has been edited by doudou: Oct 19 2006, 02:05 PM |

putfile.com is really good.
You have your account where you master everything you want. When you uplaod a picture you have the BBC codes for forums, or for your website. You decide if each image is private or public (my astahost tutorials images are private images for my astahost topic only, my public images are organized in albums which can be seen at putfile.com/myname/myalbumchosennname. |

You can use picturetrial.com for your photo hosting..
It is free and provides so many tools to organize and customize them eg. Choose the picture borde Change photo background Background music etc. They also allow online photo editing and printing(it costs). http://www.kodakgallery.com/ Is also a good choice they are providing 20 free prints with every registration.. |

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned Photobucket yet, since it is the most used one, in my opinion. While most people use it for single image hosting (the same as imageshack.us), it also provides album creation. Also, you can make those albums private if you wish so that only you can view them.
On the other hand, Photobucket doesn't really have much options - it's just a SIMPLE photo sharing site. If you want something more powerful, check out the link nikhil provided, it seems fair enough to me. |

Thanks for all the input. I'll definitly check them out. I espeically like the background options and etc. But then sometimes simple is the best.

After looking at all the image hosting sites, I settled on Google’s new service Web Picasa. I love that there is a choice between a desktop application and just upload from the web. The Picasa desktop application is great, it searches out all the pictures I have, even the ones I didn’t know I had. Publishing to the web is a snap. The only downside is the limited space available for web albums. I think they only offer 250MB, which is not bad, but I can definite use more space. They do however offer the option of paying for extra space. I think I am ok for now, but if my pictures exceed the 250MB they are offering, I’ll definitely look at other options. The web album is fairly simple, no fancy background or anything. However you can insert it into your blog etc.
