Hi guys,
Those who want to avoid the extensive process of setting up a shoutbox on your own web-site (messing around with a whole bunch of PHP Code and MySQL Databases in the process) - can grab one for FREE rightaway from YellBox. I found out about their site a couple of hours back - and it's looks real good. Check out: http://yellbox.com Here's a list of their features: QUOTE * Instant feedback from visitors you would not hear otherwise. * Allow your visitors to communicate or help each other. * Greater sense of community will keep visitors coming back to your site. * Fast and easy to register - Have your box up and running in minutes. * Works with any webspace - No need for any PHP or MySQL on your side. * No programming knowledge needed - Just include a snippet of HTML code in your page. * Customisable - Easily change the size, colors and fonts of your YellBox. * 50+ Smiley faces - Brighten up your YellBox with the optional smileys. * Ban IP addresses - Stop problem users from posting on your YellBox. * Swear filter - Customisable 'bad word' list to stop users swearing if you choose. * Absolutely free - Nothing to pay at all. * Link back - Box includes a small link back to YellBox.com. Source: http://yellbox.com/ Have FUN Regards, m^e |

I have to suggest Shoutmix. It is probably the best you will find on the internet. I think registration is still available, but you can read the news as to what has happened there. they have over 20,000 users in under a year i think. the service is fantastic i have heard, i haven't used it as i always make my own.

Hmmm.. That's pretty cool. I think I'll use that untill I redesign my layout to include the phpBB forum you provide with your hosting. Thanks for posting that m^e!

I tried Shoutmix one time. It was not that bad, but I find that it loads slowly. The feature I like from it is that you can "moderate" directly. You don't need to go on the site, log in like myshoutbox.com I use myshoutbox.com which is not bad at all. |

@Trishtt: shoutmix has moved to new dedicated servers now and is apparently a heck of a lot faster. unfortunately because thousands of people are using it, it had to be changed into a free package and a paid package, the paid package gets a lot more features. it is still a great thing on the net, probably the best shoutbox service on the net.
