I know of www.saybox.com.
I'm not sure if that is what you mean by "customisable" but you can choose from a variety of colours to match your website. Hope that helped! .Solitude |

I can't help, but I'd be quite interested in a shoutbox, especially one that could be hosted ourselves, not by some outside service. Alos, I know it's a bit off topic, but I've seen quite a few PHP Nuke sites with shoutboxes as blocks, but I haven't been able to find where they get them from. Does anyone have an idea as to where I could find them? Thanks in advance. |

Googled and found this site... it looks about what you'd want. Also, I think trying to code your own shoutbox would be a good idea. I've been playing around with one of my own, and it really is a good bit of practice.

You don't neeed to resort to a hosted service which may go down anytime or impose ads on your pretty website anytime. ALso you can completely customize it to suit your website's needs or design and styles. And best is you have total control over it and can modify it any way you like. |

See D2 Shoutbox, I`ts written for Invision Bower Board on php. The site addres is http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/3305
D2-Shoutbox is much quicker and easier to install. It is designed with a new smart & advanced installer that installs the templates, mysql queries, rebuilds template caches, and can even save previous Shoutbox data! There is other shoutbox for php-nuke. You can see more information on the phpnuke.org - Shout Box v7.5 module. http://phpnuke.org/modules.php?name=News&f...rticle&sid=7002 |

Just google for "FREE SHOUTBOX" and you'll get plenty of links to onsite (you need to install yourself) and offsite (pre-installed on other sites) shoutboxes.
Here are a few links: 1. http://www.myshoutbox.com/ 2. http://www.creationcenter.com/ 3. http://www.doneeh.com/ 4. http://www.shoutmix.com/ 5. http://www.jugostar.com/shoutbox/ 6. http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/33203.html etc ... |

I would suggest www.yellbox.com. It's free, it only puts a little link in that nobody will notice.
Features: - Fast and easy to set up. - No programming knowledge necessary, just put a little piece of HTML in your page's sourcecode. - Doesn't take any webspace. - No PHP or MySQL required. - Very customisable - Filters "bad" words and replace them. - Lots of smileys - IP-ban -=jeroen=- |

If you use PHP-Nuke go straight to the PHP-Nuke home page and get a block and module that is made just for the PHP-Nuke CMS right HERE and see if that isn't what you want.
