i want to make something like http://invisionfree.com/
that makes an dir with your phpbb 3 forum in it with an admin CP plz help i really want to make something like it!! i was thinking of coding my own with file handling but i'm not good at some of it like "when u click submit to register a forums it will move the phpbb3 file that leads to the users dir then it will rename the dir to your username so like my.site.com/username it might work" with the admin username and pass and admin's email it will open the config.php then edit all the data but it will keep mysql data the same then it will close the config.php file ! it might work!! keep posting for sites with on on it! but if my idea works i will post it on tutorial page so u all can use it Thank you VMKrightpoint This post has been edited by vmkrightpoint: Feb 15 2008, 06:59 AM |

Not here. You'd need to build deccent php skills to make a very secure and unspammable script to create the entire forum (like Fanstisco), and many servers. Invisionfree has at least 30 (I have an s4 forum
edit: I meant a full automated system like Invisionfree, where you need at least one sql db per user, and theres no use verification, which is what he's planning. This post has been edited by toby: Feb 16 2008, 12:37 PM |

Not here. Toby is wrong, I would say "of course yes here". Once you are hosted, in your control pannel, in the "fantastico" section, you will be able to click on "phpbb forum" and this will create your own forum. This forum will be yours, you will be the forum administrator, you will have the forum control pannel, you will be able to add forums and subforum, create moderators, delete the unwanted posts, ban users, everything you want. The forum will be on your site, where you decided it to be. It's currently a phpbb2 forum, but if you prefer you are free to install a phpbb3 forum instead, which is more modern that phpbb2. But, yes, if you accept phpbb, no problem for having your own forum at astahost. Of course, having visitors is something else. Strangely, nobody visits my own private forums, but such is life. |
