I want to learn you, how you can create text like ice! follow me!
Step 1 ) create a new doc and type your text Step 2 ) right click on layer(text) and select "resterize layer", rotate your text (Image > Rotate > 90 CCW ) and apply wind filter ,do this three times. and finally rotate text to normal position. Step 3) right click on the layer and Duplicate layer and go to Filter > Blur > Motion Blur-90 and distance as 45. Step 4) select the Eraser and remove blure from the top of the text ( layer 2). Step 5) Merge two layers, for these press Ctrl+E ,and then apply Filters > Stylize > Find Edges Now you can see your work like ice |

What software are you using? In a tutorial it would be nice if you put down what software and version you are using.

It's in the Photoshop topic, Nils...
 that's just a con of the 'active topics' thing on the bottom of the page, but if you take a good look around *hint-hint* you can see it...

The reason it's good to put what software you are using version and all are for googlebot, when the pages are indexed and you perform a search on google nobody will know that this topic was in photoshop... I think this is a great tutorial. I tried it and it was pretty simple to do. The effect is impressive! Give it a shot!
