Haha... I think Skype feels threatened by AIM Phoneline which AOL released for the same price. The only difference is AIM Phoneline will let you receive calls & give you a number for FREE while Skype charges for that. AIM Phoneline costs $14.95 for UNLIMITED calls and whatnot but at least you get a number for free.

AIM PhoneLine gives you a number for free and more countries eligible for unlimited calling:
But read carefully, and you will notice that it is $14.95 USD/MONTH. Skype, on the other hand, is $14.95 USD/year. So one is 12x cheaper, but if you call to Hong Kong and Singapore quite a bit too then I would recommend AIM PhoneLine. |
