When I go to http://venicemediadistrict.org/ I am getting the following error message: Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)
Does this mean that the hosting IP address has changed? Last summer I built a website for a non-profit organization. The hosting and domain accounts are owned by different people. I am awaiting an email with the login info for the hosting (I already have the domain info), so I can't investigate any further yet. I was just wondering if anyone has encountered this or knows what might be the cause of the problem. It is hosted on a Godaddy account. |

I think that that error message means that no DNS servers point an IP address to the domain name. It could be a sign that:
1. The domain name has no attributed server with it (the domain isn't set up on any server/not set up properly) 2. It is registered but it isn't parked or being used. 3. That domain is getting wiped off the Internet I did a WHOIS search for the domain name and came up with this information: QUOTE(whois.net) Domain ID:D105565820-LROR Domain Name:VENICEMEDIADISTRICT.ORG Created On:13-Jan-2005 19:07:27 UTC Last Updated On:29-Mar-2007 17:48:37 UTC Expiration Date:13-Jan-2009 19:07:27 UTC Sponsoring Registrar:Go Daddy Software, Inc. (R91-LROR) Status:CLIENT DELETE PROHIBITED Status:CLIENT RENEW PROHIBITED Status:CLIENT TRANSFER PROHIBITED Status:CLIENT UPDATE PROHIBITED Registrant ID:GODA-027288587 Admin+Registrant Name:Robert Feist Admin+Registrant Street1:1611 Electric Avenue Admin+Registrant City:Venice Admin+Registrant State/Province:California Admin+Registrant Postal Code:90291 Admin+Registrant Country:US Admin+Registrant Phone:+1.3103922542 Admin+Registrant Email:rfeist@worldnet.att.net Admin ID:GODA-227288587 Name Server:NS5.SECURESERVER.NET So the domain has been registered for over 2 years and seems to be in use. I don't know what is going on. Perhaps you should contact your domain registrar for more information. |

Maybe I will call them, but I will have to get the account number and pin and everything from the client. |
