Turnign Laptop Into A Tv

I have an old laptop that i want to take the lcd off and make into a flat screen tv...The problem with this is i do not know how to do it..SO can any body help me with this> sonds like a crazy idea but im going to keep trying untill i get it

You need a TV decoder first, then something to change that signal to VGA for your screen ..it could cost more than buying a ready made one from ebay.

wow i never thought of that. Maybe I should try turn my old sony viao that sucks now, to a tv. But don't u need that cable card thing. Where you connect the tv output stuff too. Sorry if you don't understand me because I'm not exactly sure what its called.

How about buying an external TV tuner and plug it into the USB port (if any). No physical operation is required. Oops, this wouldn't work unless your laptop is still running.

I check on Ebay, a TV tuner should not be so expensive. They're around $30 to $100.

Check if it is an option for you.

The problem with this is that my laptop does not meet the system requirement. I think im just going to take the poor thing apart just for the heck of it; Ill see what i can do to it. May be i can sell parts from the laptop from ebay or something
