LimeWire PRO all the way!!!!!!

its the best P2P software, but too bad P2P is illegal! Just make sure u got McAfee or something or some files may be virused, but at least theres no ads.

Does limewire have an IP logger in it?

P2P is NOT illegal. This is a major misconception that people have, especially due to the media crap that's been going around. And even more than that, it annoys me too much that people do something that they know is illegal... and if that's not enough, they tell everyone about their favourite tool to do this thing which they believe is illegal mad.gif.

P2P is a way for people all around the world to share "things"... that's the concept. If I want everybody to download my pictures, my homemade movies, my OWN music album, my stories, or even my temporary Internet files, there's nothing illegal about that.

But if I use P2P to download block-buster movies, the new Shakira album, or a version of Microsoft's Windows XP, then that IS illegal.

To sum it up, P2P in itself is a great thing... it's what people do with it that alters its image. I hope that clarified things a bit smile.gif.

Cheers.

The only ones i have used are Kazaa and Limewire.

I had kazaa for a really long time and it was ok, i would get viruses through it but my virus detector would stop them as they came in so it was never really a problem

when i finally found limewire i fell in love

no more high pitched screetch in sound files, good search results, faster downloads

I use limewire right now, even though i really never download anything through p2p networks

I’ve been using bittorrent for a while now and it is phenomenal as far as speed of downloading. I’ve tried other and found them unreliable and it’s hard to protect your computer when you are using them. Just search on any search engine and you should be on your way.

Definitely Limewire.

It's really fast, most of the downloads are on a T1 or T3 connection...

The files are sometimes five or ten seconds short, but hey- that's what I get for using P2P instead of buying music biggrin.gif

It's overall good, also has lots of video (too much pr0n) and different file formats like mp3, wma, etc.

plenty of goodies- even smaller bands have some tracks on there. Good pickings for anyone who needs some new tunes.

I usually just use it for individual songs, and support the conglomerate monster of an industry by buying CDs. haha- that's how I roll.

I use eMule, it has so little virus that it makes Limewire and all that look like virus.com (which is incidentally anti-virus...but still). It also has NO SPAM and NO RANDOM ADS and it's free.

SHAREAZA!

For all those still reading these posts, I now recommend Shareaza version 4 novices or version 2.3 for the more experienced.

Version 4 has an easy to use interface, looking similar to itunes and limewire. It still has all the classic shareaza features, like bittorrent and the Gnutella and Edonkey networks, and not to mention the in built media player which lets you preview files whilst downloading, and which I also find extremely handy rather then having to open itunes or windows media everytime I want to play a song.

I've been using ARES. I have had no problems for over 2 years, no viruses, adware, or spyware. Some files download quick others very slow, it depends on the users not the program. If 30 people have the same file, the system dowloads from all of them for lightning speed, but it can also be very slow coming from a single source. Lately, downloads remain "in queue" for a long period then loose the connection. So I'm also looking for other programs but I will not be deleting ARES from my sytem.

You should all use frostwire!
Check homepage

P.S.: turbocharged connection is free and no ads, viruses etc. I think it's also open source
