Using My Domain On Astahost, can i remove mydomain.astahost.com?

Hello friends .!

Iam using my domain on Astahost Hosting.! And I have a forum in my account.! So i have turned the server to Astahost ns1.astahost.com and ns2 .!

From there i have Re-directed to my forum.! And in the Domain it shows _www.subdomain.astahost.com/forum/ In the address bar.!

Is there anyway I can hide This n replace with _www.mydomain.com ?

I know it will Wont be nice for astahost ... and i will Post Astahost banner on site and compensate if something like that be done.! rolleyes.gif

Also The present takes time to get forwarded to forum.! Anyway to direct my domain directly to forum? as of now as i said earlier goes to www.subdomain.astahost.com and I have set a redirect to The forum so its taking a bit more time to get forwarded.!

Plz help me out frenz sad.gif

First of all make sure Astahost has set up your account as a domain DNS.

Then point your nameservers to Astahost, it takes roughly 24-48 hours (sometimes more) for your domain host to update the DNS to point to Astahost (Who should have given you a numerical IP address to access your website with temprarily)

Hi,
I'd like to add a bit more. After you are done changing the nameservers, park that domain in your account from your cPanel. Then your site will be accessible by www.yourdomain.com. Regarding your forum, You will have to install it on the root directory of your website for it to be accessible from there.

yeah got that but Is that anyway To remove subdomain.astahost.com Url ? i mean after entering my domain .. The url changes from my domain to subdomain.astahost.com .! So this was my main question.! hope someone plz let me know.!

Yep you're doing to have to ask OpaQue for a DNS change or just repark it in cPanel as one of your addon domains I guess...

I have operated a web hosting reseller programe before. When I used WHM to create an account, I had to give the account a domain first in the account creation. Then I found no way to change the domain after that. That is, it may be impossible. The possible way is to delete it first and then to recreate an account with your new domain.
