I have satellite internet from direcway. There are several companies that offer wired-broadband internet where I live and I don’t know if I should change companies. Is there anyone else out there that had direcway but made a switch? How does it compare to wired connections. Is there that much of a difference between them?

You need to consider your money, too. Do you have satellite for tv or just for internet?

I'd call up each company, after looking at their website claims. Often, the real person to talk with is someone in the tech support area. They can tell you the most common problems that people call in.

I have DSL myself and not satellite. I've heard satellite depends on where the dish is set and often snow or leaves get in there and cause problems.
